Edge is the perfect
holiday base, especially for the first time visitor to the Lake District.
Situated in one of the most exclusive areas of Windermere, it is set
in its own extensive grounds, offering complete privacy and tranquility
yet only minutes away from the town centre and the lake. The residence
has been tastefully converted to form nine fully self contained units,
individually styled and equipped to make your holiday a pleasure all
the year round.
Special
features are the
large outdoor swimming pool and sunbathing area, open from May to September.
The beautiful landscaped gardens have grassy areas for childrens
games and quiet corners for relaxing or having picnics. The apartments
are furnished, equipped and decorated to a high standard. Duvets are
supplied but we can provide blankets if preferred. Hot water is included
in the tariff and all the apartments have background central heating
during winter and at other times when required. A payphone is available
on the first floor for the use of the guests. Linen is included in the
cost. Towels are available for a small extra charge. Electricity for
lighting and cooking is by coin meter. There is ample car parking space.
A rotary line is provided for clothes drying in the garden. High chairs
and cots are available at extra cost.
A lockable garage
is provided for cycle storage.
The
village of Windermere, together with Bowness, is the gateway to the
Lake District. Providing excellent shopping facilities, there are many
restaurants, cafes and inns to visit. The lake is close at hand for
those interested in sailing, fishing or water sports. The keen walker
will be rewarded with fine views from pike and fell, but even the least
energetic can enjoy the scenery.
